Jodi Marie Wise

Hello! My name is Jodi, the creator behind JMW Design. I’m a self-taught artist who resides in water-winter wonderland, Michigan. Currently, my artistic focus is on creating floral oil pastel designs, along with watercolor botanical designs.

Drawing & painting have always been activities that bring me joy. I can honestly sit for hours upon hours creating; I often find myself forgetting about life’s worries whenever I pick up a pencil or paintbrush.

For me, art is a way I can express myself, and a way I can share my love of nature with the world. My art focuses around flowers; although flowers don't live forever, I am able to capture their beauty, along with the memories that surround them, through my paintings

What inspired me to start creating my work?

It was 2020, college classes were online, lockdowns were in place, all the while I yearned to be around flowers and nature. All throughout my life, I have spent countless hours on long strolls through nature. Because travel wasn't quite possible at that time, I decided to draw and paint a few flowers that I dreamed to see again - and so my creation process began!

Nature inspires

The sights & textures of nature inspire my creations. My hope is that my artwork radiates these senses of nature into your home, filling your space with nature’s beauty & calmness for years to come.
